Author: Alison Goodman
Publication Date: 8/1/08
Publisher: Viking Juvenile

Blurb (GR): Eon has been studying the ancient art of Dragon Magic for four years, hoping he'll be able to apprentice to one of the twelve energy dragons of good fortune. But he also has a dark secret. He is actually Eona, a sixteen-year-old girl who has been living a dangerous lie for the chance to become a Dragoneye, the human link to an energy dragon's power. It is forbidden for females to practice the Dragon Magic and if discovered Eon faces a terrible death.

Review:
Eon took to long to figure stuff out fo sho
**When I originally made this graph, it was on a 5-star scale. It would be 6.5-7 out of 10 on a 10-point scale.

A Few More Points:

*If you want someone to seem like a villain, do NOT make them taste like a creamsicle when you kiss them. Vanilla and orange=AWESOME.

*How DARE you end a book at that point! (just kidding, Ms. Goodman. You hooked me for the next one)

*I hope that Chart is part of book two. When he says "Sluuuuut" to Irsa, I laughed out loud at the audiobook. (One high point of the audio version which, overall, left a lot to be desired)

I listened to part of this and read the remainder because the narrator began to grate on my nerves.

3.5/5 stars

Your graph is hilarious and what you've written is entertaining, but you really don't tell us much about the story itself. With your sense of humor, you owe us more, much more!

I read, somewhere ages ago, that you "baptized" the main character's sluggardly brain as the Eon/Eona syndrome, but I've never been able to find where that was. Finally I beard you in your lair to discover you don't actually have a beard! Okay that didn't come out in the comment like it sounded in my head....

On that topic, your review is actually more like a comment than a review. Is there anywhere you've written more on this - given some details of the story and added your thoughts?

I've been looking at Eon and Eona in bookstores and wondering whether I should plunge in, but I'm not a dragon fan, and I really don't want to start into this only to find that there's no there there.

I was hoping your review (of all reviews!) might give some hints, but it didn't! Stop dragon my heart around!
