We are so excited to be part of the blog tour for Shirley Marr's second novel, Preloved, which was released in Australia on April 1st. It isn't released in the US but you can get a copy with free shipping from Fishpond.

Here's the blurb:
If you had a second chance at love, would you do it all over again?

Amy has enough to deal with for one lifetime. A superstitious Chinese mother. A best friend whose mood changes as dramatically as her hair colour. A reputation for being strange. The last thing she needs is to be haunted by someone only she can see.

Logan is a ghost from the Eighties. He could be dangerous. He's certainly annoying.

He might also be Amy's dream boy.

One of our favorite Aussie bloggers, Mandee from VeganYANerds, already reviewed it and gave it high ranks. Click on her name to read her glowing review. Swoon, right? So far, we're (Flann & Catie) really enjoying it! Tons of eighties references, humor, and Amy's mom is cracking us up. Shirley's books are a hot commodity internationally. Go ahead and try to find a copy of her debut novel, Fury. I dare you. (We will not be held responsible for any crazy circumstances that occur as a result.)

Here's the schedule of her upcoming blog tour:
16th April - Vegan YA Nerds
17th April - Literary Life
18th April - The Midnight Garden
19th April - The Tales Compendium
20th April - My Girl Friday
23rd April - Wear the Old Coat
24th April - The Readventurer
25th April - Inkcrush
26th April - Hey! Teenager of the Year
27th April - The Nocturnal Library

Make sure you visit every site for the tour--there will be lots of fun interviews, guest posts, and giveaways! Speaking of giveaways, we're giving away a copy of Preloved to one lucky reader in the US/Canada. (with apologies to our international buddies this time.) Good luck! And thanks to Walker Books Australia for the copy.

Thanks for hosting ladies! I've heard such wonderful things about Aussie YA over the past year, that I'm starting to make an effort to read more of it (picked up two Marchetta books last week). At the moment though I have to go for the widely known, and say Sabriel. I have a copy that I 'borrowed' from my 8th grade English teacher, and have yet to return! Woops.

What a fantastic giveaway. :D I want Preloved sooo badly.

My favourite Aussie YA? Oh, this is hard! I think I'll have to go with Melina Marchetta's Saving Francesca, or Markus Zusak's The Book Thief.

I pressed submit accidentally. My favorite Aussie book, um anything by Allison Goodman. Singing the Dog Star Blues or Eona.

Fav YA Aussie book? I can't pick just one!!!

But I will say if I was stuck on a desert island, On the Jellicoe Road would keep me happy for a long time.

I also wanted to mention that I love that there's a blog tour for this book, especially as I rarely see blog tours for Aussie YA books.

I am not really familiar with Aussie YA... maybe Shirley Marr's "Beloved" will introduce me.

Cheers!

Can I say all of Melina Marchetta's books? If not, I pick Finnikin of the Rock. Yes, I pick Finn over Jellicoe Road!

I actually don't have a favourite Aussie author, since I've never read any Aussie authors! Hopefully this will be my first? :)

Yay, I am so excited for this blog tour! And thanks so much for the kind words and link to my review. I'm so glad you and Catie are enjoying it!

I'd already read Maggie's experience with Fishpond but I hadn't read the other tale, oh my goodness, what a saga!

At the moment I think it is Raw Blue, but only because I have been unable to get the others on my TBR list! I really hope I get this, and thanks for the heads up about fishpond!

The blurb is so unique and I want to read it. I like second chance stories and this one is certainly different since there's a ghost involved. No YA Aussie books comes to mind :(
